Sermon Overview
Reidhead argues that these two questions define the entire Christian existence. The first is a question of Revelation (Knowing the Person of Christ), and the second is a question of Submission (Obeying the Will of Christ). He posits that one cannot truly ask the second until they have received a supernatural answer to the first.
Key Principles
Who Art Thou? Seek a "Supernatural Revelation" of the Person of Christ; this must be your first and highest pursuit.
What Wilt Thou?Once you know WhoHe is, offer an "Unconditional Surrender" of your will to What He wants.
Who Before What:Refuse to attempt "service" (the What) until you have a vital "relationship" (the Who).
Persecutor to Partner:Allow the revelation of Christ to transform your "self-centeredness" into a "Kingdom-partnership."
Who Before What:Refuse to take another step in "ministry" until you have sought a fresh revelation of the Person (the Who).
Life-Long Pursuit:Make "Knowing Him" the primary ambition of your life; treat everything else as secondary.
Immediate Obedience:When the "What" is revealed, respond with an immediate "Yes," moving out without negotiation.
Persecutor to Partner:Trust that the revelation of Christ can turn your "inner rebel" into a "Kingdom co-laborer."
