Sermon Overview
Based on John 7:17 ("If any man will do His will, he shall know"), Reidhead argues that spiritual understanding is not an intellectual achievement but a moral one. He asserts that God only reveals His "Secrets" to those who are prepared to obey them. Thus, a "willingness to do" is the "Key" that unlocks the meaning of the Word.
Key Principles
Obedience as Organ:Realize that your "willingness to obey" is the actual organ through which you "understand" the Bible.
Moral Barrier:Acknowledge that your "intellectual confusion" is often a "moral problem" (a refusal to do God's will).
Still Small Voice: Listen for God's "whisper" only after you have committed to doing whatever He says.
Information to Revelation: Move beyond "gathering facts" about the Bible; seek a "revelation" that results in action.
Natural Man's Failure:Admit that your "natural intellect" cannot grasp the deep things of God; rely on the Spirit's light.
Testing via Action: Test the "truth" you hear by putting it into "practice" immediately; this is the only way to "know."
Secret for the God-Fearing: Cultivate a "Holy Awe" of God to gain access to His "Secret Counsel" and deep insights.
