Reidhead distinguishes between "remorse" (which costs nothing but tears) and "repentance" (which costs the right to oneself). He argues that one cannot keep their own "plans, patterns, and pride" while entering the Kingdom. The "cost" is the Cross—the total abandonment of the ego to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Finding Life: Discover that "Life" only begins when the "Self" is dead; find your joy in being Christ’s bond-slave.
