Sermon Overview
The series ends with a vision of the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" and the eternal union of Christ and His Church. Reidhead argues that the "Everlasting Love" that began before time finds its fulfillment in an eternity where we shall "see Him as He is." This future hope is the ultimate "Everlasting" promise that gives meaning to every present struggle.
Key Principles
Climax of History:Look forward to the "Marriage of the Lamb" as the final fulfillment of God’s eternal plan.
Beatific Vision: Set your heart on "seeing Him as He is," allowing this future sight to purify your present walk.
End of the Veil:Anticipate a fellowship with God that is entirely free from the "fog" and "veil" of sin.
Prepared Inheritance:Treat your life today as an apprenticeship for the "inheritance" the Father has reserved for you.
Full Expression:Anticipate the day when "Love" will be the only atmosphere you breathe in the Kingdom.
Wiping Away Tears: Find comfort in the fact that God's final "act of love" is the removal of all earthly sorrow.
Eternal Rest: Labor hard today for the King, knowing that an "Eternal Rest" is waiting for the redeemed.
Everlasting Kingdom:Invest your life in the "Kingdom that cannot be shaken," rather than the kingdoms of men.
