Sermon Overview
This sermon explores the "Kenosis" or the emptying of Christ's divine prerogatives to take on the form of a servant. Reidhead uses this as the ultimate model for the Christian life, arguing that spiritual power is only found in "emptying" oneself of reputation and self-will. He posits that just as Christ was exalted after His humiliation, the believer is raised to new life only after a total "pouring out" of the self-life.
Key Principles

Pre-incarnate Glory:Meditate on Christ’s original glory to appreciate the "depth" of His condescension for you.

Mind of Christ:Deliberately choose the path of humility, refusing to "grasp" for your own rights or status.

Emptied of Rights:"Empty" yourself of the right to your own reputation and self-determination.

Form of a Doulos:Carry yourself as a "bond-slave" to Christ and others, seeking to serve rather than be served.

Spirit-filled Pattern: Use Christ’s "self-emptying" as your daily pattern; realize you cannot be "filled" if you are full of "self."

Obedience to Death:Commit to obey God's voice even when it leads to the "death" of your own plans or comforts.

Exaltation Principle:Trust God's timing for your "exaltation"; be content to be "low" as long as He is "high."

Bowing the Knee: Live as a "subject of the King," acknowledging His absolute Lordship in every area of life.
