Sermon Overview
Based on 1 John 3:7-10, Reidhead argues that "he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." He distinguishes between an occasional act of good and the "habitual practice" of a holy life. He asserts that because God is holy, His children must inevitably bear His likeness, making "habitual sin" an impossibility for one born of God.
Key Principles

Like Father, Like Son:Expect your character to naturally resemble God's if you are truly His child.

Practicing vs. Sinning:Distinguish between "stumbling" into a sin and "practicing" (habitually living in) sin.

Seed of God: Rely on the "Divine Seed" (the Spirit) to produce God-centered virtues in your personality.

Beatitudes Goal:Aim for the "praise-worthy" character described in the Beatitudes as your normal state.

Producing Virtues: Rely on the Holy Spirit to produce "God-centered" virtues (fruit) in your natural personality.

Warning of Deception:Guard against the "self-deception" of claiming to know Christ while living unrighteously.

Goal of Purity: Make "being pure, even as He is pure" the singular ambition of your spiritual walk.
