Sermon Overview
Reidhead asserts that God is more interested in the worker than the work. Using the example of Moses and the Tabernacle, he shows that every detail must be according to the "pattern shown on the mount." He argues that "success" by human standards is often "failure" by God's standards if the methods are fleshly.
Key Principles
Pattern on Mount:Reject "pragmatism" (doing what works) for "faithfulness" (doing what God says).
Rejecting Cain’s Offering: Refuse to offer God the "fruit" of your own human ingenuity or natural talent.
Total Dependency: Ask the Holy Spirit for the "how" of every project, not just the "what."
God’s Way/God’s Supply: Trust that if you follow God's specific pattern, He is legally bound to provide the resources.
Rest of the Worker:Find "rest" by only doing what the Father is doing; stop carrying the burden of self-initiated work.
Testing Methods:Periodically audit your church's programs and methods against the "pattern" found in the Word.
God’s Way/God’s Supply: Rest in the fact that God is legally obligated to provide for work done according to His design.
Goal: God’s Glory:Ensure that every success results in the "Praise of His Glory" rather than human achievement.
